PSHE
Personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education is an important and necessary part of all pupils’ education. PSHE also addresses the well-being needs of the children and teaches then skills they can use in their every day lives.
At Staverton, we use the Jigsaw scheme for PSHE. This scheme is based around 6 key themes:
- Being Me
- Celebrating Difference
- Dreams and Goals
- Healthy Me
- Relationships (see our RSE web page for more details)
- Changing Me
These themes are taught in blocks at the start of each term, with the exception of Relationships at Year 3 and 4, which is taught weekly throughout Term 5 and 6.
Anti-Bullying and Safer Internet usage are also taught at key points in the year to link with National initiatives.
